Exterior
- Cars removed from driveways / front of the house
- Garage doors down
- Grill covers / furniture covers off and stored away, cushions straightened, patio umbrellas closed
- Blow away any leaves or debris from sidewalks / driveways / patios
General
- All lights on in the house including all lamps, exterior lights, closet lights, cabinet lights, etc
- All ceiling fans off- light on is ok
- Full open curtains to let in as much light as possible
- Keep blinds in the down position but place them in the fully open position to get as much light inside as possible
- We do not shoot regular closets or garage spaces (unless requested) so those areas can be used for any needed storage
Living room
- Remove any personal items like chargers, picture frames, remotes, tissue boxes, animal beds/items, etc
Kitchen
- Remove all kitchen towels and mats on the floors
- Remove all soap or bottles along the sink
- Declutter countertops as much as possible. Ideally countertops are completely empty or decluttered & organized
- Remove anything above the fridge and magnets on the fridge
- Hide trash cans in garage
- Hide any animal bowls / items
Bathrooms
- Remove all personal items off the sink including soaps, toothbrushes, bottles, etc
- Remove all floor mats
- Remove all items from shower include all bottles, razors, loofahs, etc
- Hide any trash cans, tissue boxes, or toilet paper holders
Bedrooms
- Remove as many personal items as possible. Anything on the dresser, nightstands or desks put away
- Kids rooms hide all toys or organize along the wall to make the room feel as large as possible
- All cars are out of driveway and away from the front of the house
- All window shades and blinds fully open. Shades fully pushed open to the side and blinds in the full pulled up position
- Do not forget about garage windows and even the closet windows when applicable
Turn on every single interior light possible. All lamps, lights, bathroom lights, laundry room lights, closet lights, garage lights. The more light inside the better the twilight photo. - Exterior lights on, landscaping lighting on, pool lights on
- Flood lights OFF
- Fire started in fire pit and hot tub lid off, jets and light on
- If you are home during this shoot, please stay away from the windows
**IF YOU ARE APART OF ANY NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY GROUPS ITS BEST TO LET YOUR NEIGHBORS KNOW WE WILL BE THERE MOVING THROUGH YOUR FRONT/BACK YARD PAST SUNSET. THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR OUR SAFETY**
We do not need to come inside for this shoot unless you have an upper level deck we cannot access from the outside. We will knock when we arrive and knock when we depart. The last knock will be your sign that you can start to shut off lights!
